Groundbreaking Research
Our study investigates the amount of time a representative sample of United States residents spend outdoors in nature using both self-report measures and objective data from the free smartphone app, NatureDoseTM. Spending time outdoors is linked to numerous health benefits, from reduced stress to improved mental well-being. However, access to nature is not equal for everyone. By understanding who has access and who doesn’t, we can advocate for changes that promote healthier communities.
